Hi, I’m Cara!
I’m an experienced researcher and design strategist with over a decade of results-oriented, human-centered projects under my belt. My approach blends deep empathy with methodological rigor to build products and systems that work for all.
With a PhD in social ethics from Emory and an M.Div from Harvard, my training encompasses both social scientific analysis and compassionate, human-centered accompaniment. This means I’m particularly adept at uncovering how individual user experiences intersect with broader systems and product landscapes, especially in relation to questions of social equity.
My current role is on the Design Thinking & User Research team at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, contracted through Easy Dynamics. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, where I spend time eating noodles, watching gymnastics, and hanging out with my toddler, spouse, and opinionated pup Lola.
